
Elaine Smallbones is currently a member of the Vula staff. Her portfolio includes mentoring and supporting VuMA graduates. Elaine has over 40 years' teaching experience in Mathematics in a wide variety of schools from Braeburn High School in Nairobi to Enhlanhleni Combined School in rural KZN. She is qualified in Mathematics Education and Computer integrated Education, and has combined these successfully in the Mathematics Classroom.
Elaine served on the AMESA Council in KZN for a number of years and has presented workshops on teaching creatively and at the same time developing sound basic Mathematical concepts. Elaine enjoys teaching the FET Grades, but is passionate about Grades 7-9 and ensuring that they are well taught. She has written and published material for these grades.
